Support UK Home Educators

Home educators do not receive any support from the State. We do not get any of the money that, was our child in school, would be paid by the State for their education. Workbooks, outings, tutors - any expense is met by the family. As many families have given up an income in order for one parent to be at home with the children - or if a single parent family miss out on an income altogether - this can double the financial implications of chosing to home educate ones child.

UK Home Educators welcome offers of support in whatever form.

Do you have an interest/expertise that you would be willing to share? You could help tutor some of our children, or provide worksheets/lesson plans via email or post.
Perhaps you have educational resources at home that your children have not used, which you could offer us?
Or maybe arts and crafts materials that your family have outgrown, which we could make use of?

If you feel that you could help in such a way, please get in contact with us as soon as possible!

Alternatively, you may feel that you wish to contribute to our "slush fund" which provides us with the opportunity to purchase bulk resources, arrange coach travel, or post resources out to members that live in outlying areas who are unable to meet with us regularly and therefore miss out on many opportunities to share.
